This European oak wood species is 3/4 sides free of defects and sapwood. It is intended for flawless applications. European oak is primarily sourced from certified, sustainably managed forests in countries such as France, Germany, the Czech Republic, and the Netherlands. We import freshly sawn planks directly from European sawmills, with FSC® or PEFC certification, and artificially dry them to 8–12% moisture content before finishing.
The heartwood of this European oak varies from warm light brown to dark brown, with a characteristic, timeless grain structure. The growth rings are clearly visible, which enhances the natural appearance.
European oak is considered one of the most versatile hardwoods, thanks to its strength and appearance. Common applications include:
Indoors: furniture, floors, stairs, interior elements, acoustic panels
Outdoors: facade cladding, terraces, bridges, lock gates
Structural applications: beams, skeleton construction, ship parts. Oak is also used for wine barrels, landscaping, and restorations.
