QF 3/4 quality is a structural wood selection in which sapwood, large knots, cracks, and warping are permitted. Visual perfection is subordinate to functional strength. This oak variety is often used for rough construction, both indoors and outdoors. The source is also sustainable here, with FSC® or PEFC certification. The planks are kiln-dried (KD) to approximately 8–12% moisture content.
This wood has a robust, rough character with many visible natural features. The color is uneven, ranging from light to dark brown, depending on the degree of oxidation and sapwood. The grain and growth rings are strong and distinct.

Beams, skeleton construction, substructures, trusses, temporary structures.
Rough visible use:
Country furniture, rustic panelling, transport crates, outdoor structures.
Special use:
Atmospheric, visible 'rough' carpentry, art objects, set construction.
Heart and larger defects allowed along the entire length for a robust appearance.
