Honoring the trunk is essential for optimum utilization, because bark cannot be used for making paper. So all "waste" pieces must be stripped of bark. However, the bark can be used again for fossil fuel.
The scales of the trunk are the first pieces that go to the fragmenter when the trunk starts his journey through the sawmill. This ideal example shows that the entire tribe is used for wood production, apart from the scales. In fact, several "waste" will share, such as the end of pieces and sharing with a too large defect, while sawing the trunk to the fragmenter. Each tribe has its own problems and will be treated differently.
The outer parts of the trunk contain the least knots. This error -free wood will usually be used as planks or ribs in thickness ranging from 20 to 80 mm.
Further to the heart of the trunk, the number of knots increases and the wood is less suitable for ribs and shelves. The square or rectangular beams and heavier wood parts are sawn from this part. The real center is only suitable for construction wood. There are most of them knots here because this is the oldest part of the trunk. These are branches that have been removed in the past and later covered by the growing of the tree.

PEFC is the largest certification system in the world and cooperates with local forest managers. PEFC also sets strict requirements for replanting, biodiversity and working conditions, with a pragmatic approach.
Advantages: widely supported, flexible system, fits well with private and regional forestry.
We import our wood directly from sawmills in Europe, the US and Canada. Because we visit these sawmills personally, we know exactly under what circumstances the wood is produced. This way we guarantee quality and transparency.
